An Illinois resident, David Tan is a physician assistant who practices at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, and acute care facility that maintains 200 beds and a full time staff of 200 as well. In his role as physician assistant, David Tan is part of an institution that also encompasses four outpatient clinics and treats enrolled veterans across northwestern Indiana and Cook County.
Mr. Tan served in the U.S. Armed Forces from 2003 to 2006 and was deployed as an Army medic in Iraq. His consistent efforts over a tour of duty earned him a rank of sergeant, and he takes pride to this day in caring for those who have served their country.
Mr. Tan maintains a strong presence in his local community and church plays an important part in his life. In addition to taking part in outreach efforts, he actively worships in a public house setting. He is also involved in singing and playing bass with choirs at a local Lutheran congregation.
